British Youth Championships

For the second year running, Chris Kerr qualified to compete in the British Youth Championships which were held earlier this month in Sheffield. He competed in the 100m and 200m Breaststroke in the 15/16 years age group.

After training over the traditional summer break, Chris swam extremely well. Firstly he qualified for the semi final of the 200m event eventually finishing 12th overall narrowly missing out on the final by 0.2 seconds.

Later in the week he competed in his favoured 100m event. This time he successfully negotiated the heats and semi final to take his place in the final. There he recorded another personal best in a very close finish in which he finished 7th, a great result. Well done Chris.
