Team members from our Gold and Silver squads taking time out from their training weekend in Dunoon to pose for a group photograph.

In February swimmers from the Gold and Silver squads  travelled to Dunoon for a intensive swim training weekend. The swim team stayed at the West End Hotel, and water based training was held at the nearby Riverside swimming pool. Head coach Colin Barton and coach Gilbert Kirkwood, were on hand to see everyone was enjoying themselves but training hard.  However with five pool sessions and three land training sessions, there was no escaping hard work.  The team were accompanied by parent helper Nicola Ferguson and land training sessions were held at the Queen’s Hall, overseen by parent and keep fit expert, Donald McFarlane.   All this effort and team building is in advance of the upcoming competition to be held in Forres by the Blue Fins swim team. The exhausted but happy youngsters returned home on Sunday afternoon.
