This years meet was held at Prestonpans on 12th September 2010 and was the first meet of the new season.
Swimmers from Gold, Silver and Bronze squads competed and despite the fact that we only recently returned to training after the summer break, there were some excellent results.
In the first event, the girls100m backstroke Amy Flynn, Lauren Sutherland and Hebe Ramsay just missed out on medals finishing 4th in their respective age groups with Fiona Inglis going one better claiming the bronze.
In the corresponding boys event, Leigh Stadnik and Calum Archibald finished first in their age groups. Andrew Denholm finished 4th in the youngest age group as did Prentice Robertson in the oldest category.
Our next competitors were Chris Kerr and Jack Bisset in the 100m breaststroke where they finished first and second respectfully. In the girls breaststroke event, good swims from Beth McFarlane and Kimberley McKay saw them win Gold. Beth Denholm finished closely behind Kimberley to win silver.
The second session opened with the 100m butterfly with Beth Denholm winning her second silver medal of the day. Jenny Jubb claimed the Bronze in her age group and Calum Archibald silver in the boys event.
In the 100m freestyle, there were Gold medals for Lindsay Sinclair and Leigh Stadnik, silver for Fiona Inglis and Kimberley McKay and bronze for Lauren Sutherland and Andrew Denholm.
In the final event, the boys 400m IM, Chris Kerr and Jack Bisset repeated their success from earlier in the day, again finishing first and second.
In total, there were 41 personal best swims throughout the day with the younger swimmers performing extremely well.
