Six swimmers qualified to represent the club at the Scottish National Open Championships which were held in Glasgow between 22nd – 27th June 2010.
This years championships incorporated the trials for the Commonwealth Games so all the top swimmers participated and in addition there were a number of top swimmers from England and Wales.
All 6 Midlothian swimmers, Jo Pettit, Fiona Inglis, Lisa Fraser, Jack Bisset, Chris Kerr and Lindsay Sinclair performed very well over the 5 days with the highlight coming in the very last session on the last day.
Chris had qualified earlier in the day as second fastest in the Boys 16 years and under 200m breaststroke. In the final however he led from the start to claim the gold medal with a very good swim. Earlier in the week he had been beaten into the silver medal position in the 100m event with a swim a bit outside his best but he made no mistakes in the 200m.
